What is sheet vinyl?

Sheet Vinyl, also known as vinyl flooring is a type of flooring that comes in a wide roll that can be cut to size to fit your space. All of our vinyl flooring and lino flooring is sheet vinyl.

How is vinyl made?

Vinyl flooring is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin created from plastic pellets, with additional compounds that modify the qualities of the resulting material. On top of the vinyl flooring there is a wear layer to stop scuffs and scratches on your vinyl flooring.

How long does vinyl flooring last?

The lifespan of vinyl flooring typically ranges from 7 years through to 20 years, depending on the quality of the material and as well as how well it is maintained. High traffic areas such as bathroom vinyl flooring and kitchen vinyl flooring will need more maintenance due to additional water and spills.

What are the benefits of vinyl flooring?

It is durable and long-lasting, it is easy to install and maintain, requiring minimal cleaning and upkeep.  It is water-resistant and hygienic, making it suitable for wet areas and preventing mould and bacteria growth. Which room is best for vinyl flooring?

Due to the water resistant properties of vinyl flooring the rooms most suitable for vinyl flooring is kitchens and bathrooms. Some vinyl's have a slight texture, this offers slip resistance making it suitable for bathroom flooring and kitchen flooring.
