    However, the key is to choose the right door bar. Different types are for different situations. 

    • Double edge is ideal for carpet-to-carpet

    Once you’ve got the right carpet door bar, you’ll then need to clean the area and ensure the door is out of the way.


    Next, measure and cut to size (cut from the bottom of your door bar). 


    Drill the holes lining up your carpet door bars screw holes, and then secure them into place, checking to make sure the bar is properly aligned halfway across the threshold.

  • If your carpet threshold strip is screwed down, then you should be able to unscrew it and lift away simply. If it has been glued or nailed in place, you will need a crowbar or similar tool to pull it out. Ensure you lift directly around the nails to avoid the threshold bar snapping before it has come loose enough.
